Uma canção de amor para o vosso fim de semana :)

Musée d'Orsay Paris: Masculine/Masculine The Nude Man in Art from 1800 to the Present Day

Right now if you are lucky enough to be in Paris, here is an exhibition you may want to see.

While it has been quite natural for the female nude to be regularly exhibited, the male nude has not been accorded the same treatment. It is highly significant that until the show at the Leopold Museum in Vienna in the autumn of 2012, no exhibition had opted to take a fresh approach, over a long historical perspective, to the representation of the male nude. However, male nudity was for a long time, from the 17th to 19th centuries, the basis of traditional Academic art training and a key element in Western creative art.

Se tiverem a sorte de estar ou ir a Paris até Janeiro de 2014, não percam.

Alongside the carnage of Pakistan’s massive earthquake came a new creation: a small island of mud, stone and bubbling gas pushed forth from the seabed.
Experts say the island was formed by the massive movement of the earth during the 7.7-magnitude quake that hit Pakistan’s Baluchistan province on Tuesday, killing at least 285 people.
“That big shock beneath the earth causes a lot of disturbance,” said Zahid Rafi, director of the National Seismic Monitoring Center.
The island appeared off the coast of Gwadar, a port about 533 kilometers from Pakistan’s largest city of Karachi and 120 kilometers from Iran.

Jal Mahal

Recently renovated, the 18th Century, Jal Mahal (“Water Palace”) is located in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur city, Rajasthan, India.
It long remained an abandoned dilapidated palace in the midst of the sewage laden lake. With the urbanisation of Jaipur city and areas surrounding the lake, the ecological system of the lake and its vicinity deteriorated drastically.
A major clean up of the lake lasted 6 years and included re-alignment of city drains, de-silting and planting schemes.
